Profile

Track your learning activity: study stats, decks you're learning, global rankings, and follower connections.

Overview

Your profile is a summary of your learning activity. It shows your study stats, the decks you're learning, your global rankings, and your follower and following connections. Other users can see your profile too, and you can browse theirs to discover new decks or follow learners you want to compete with on the friends scope of the global leaderboard.

Getting There

Click your profile photo in the sidebar to view your own profile. To view another user's profile, click their name or photo anywhere it appears in the app (leaderboards, forum posts, study groups, and so on).

Your Profile

The top of the page shows three cards side by side: your profile photo on the left, a metadata card in the middle (username, country flag, follower and following counts, words learned, total points, and global rankings), and a stats card on the right (eight activity numbers plus your current level and streak badges). Below that is a paginated grid of decks you're learning.

Stats

The stats card shows eight numbers. Created, Sessions, Study Time, Joined, and Last Active are self-explanatory. The other three:

  • Learning: total decks you've saved.
  • Languages: counts every language you're "active" in, as a union of languages from decks you own, decks you've saved, AI chat conversations, and the target languages set on your profile.
  • Best Streak: your longest-ever daily study streak. Your current streak is shown separately as a badge at the bottom of the stats card.

Global Rankings

Three rankings are shown based on your points:

  • Weekly: points earned in the last 7 days
  • Monthly: points earned in the last 30 days
  • All Time: every point you've ever earned

Rankings display as a formatted number like "#42", or "--" if you haven't earned any points in that timeframe yet.

Learning Section

Below the header, a Learning section shows the decks in your library as a paginated grid, sorted by most recently studied. Each deck card shows the deck name, description, language, cover image, card count, save count, and creator.

Viewing Other Profiles

Other users' profiles show the same information as yours: stats, rankings, and the Learning grid. The main difference is a "Follow" or "Following" button in the top right corner.

<div class="my-6 rounded-md border border-border bg-muted/30 flex items-center justify-center aspect-video max-w-4xl"><p class="text-sm text-muted-foreground">Another user's profile with Follow button in the top right</p></div>

If a user's profile has been deleted or doesn't exist, a full-page "User not found" state appears with a link back to the dashboard.

Following and Unfollowing

Following a User

Click "Follow" on another user's profile. Following someone adds them to the friends scope of the global leaderboard so you can compare your progress. Following requires an active subscription. If you're on a free account, the button prompts you to upgrade.

Unfollowing a User

If you're already following someone, their profile shows a "Following" button. Click it to open an unfollow confirmation dialog, then confirm to remove them.

Followers and Following Lists

Click the Followers or Following count on any profile to open a modal showing the full list. Each entry shows the user's photo and username, and links to their profile.

From these modals, you can also:

  • Follow a user inline with a single click
  • Unfollow a user with an inline confirm/cancel prompt (no separate dialog)

The follow state updates immediately.

Editing Your Profile

Click "Edit Profile" in the top right corner of your own profile page. This takes you to Settings > Account, where you can update your username, location, profile photo, and other account details.

Tips and Troubleshooting

Rankings showing "--"? You haven't earned any points in that timeframe. Complete a study session to get on the board.

Can't follow a user? Following requires an active subscription. If your subscription has expired, you'll be prompted to resubscribe.

  • Settings > Account is where you edit your account details and profile.
  • Leaderboard is where you compete on global, deck, and group leaderboards. Following users unlocks the friends scope on the global leaderboard.
  • Getting Started covers initial profile setup during onboarding.
  • Study Groups is another way to connect with other learners.
