Leaderboard
Compete with other learners on three leaderboards: global rankings across all users, deck rankings for each deck you study, and group rankings inside your study groups.
Overview
The leaderboard ranks users by points earned from studying. There are three types of leaderboards: global (all users), deck-specific (users who studied a particular deck), and group (members of a study group). Each supports time-based filtering and pagination, and each one shows your rank even if you're not in the top list.
Rankings use a tie-friendly system. If two users have the same points, they receive the same rank with no gaps.

Click Leaderboard in the sidebar to view the global leaderboard. Deck leaderboards are accessible from each deck's overview page. Group leaderboards are accessible from each group's overview page.
Global Leaderboard
The global leaderboard shows all users ranked by total points. Two scope options are available: global (everyone on the platform) and friends (only users you follow, plus yourself).
Timeframes
Three timeframes filter which points are counted:
| Timeframe | Points Counted |
|---|---|
| Weekly | Points earned in the last 7 days |
| Monthly | Points earned in the last 30 days |
| All Time | All points ever earned |
The weekly view is selected by default.
Your Rank
If you're not on the current page of results, a "Your Rank" section appears below the leaderboard showing your rank, points, and profile, so you always know where you stand.

Each deck has its own leaderboard, ranking users who have studied that deck. Only points earned from sessions on that specific deck are counted.
Deck leaderboards are available for decks you own, public decks, and decks you've saved.
The deck leaderboard supports the same timeframe and scope filters as the global leaderboard, along with pagination and your rank display.

Group Leaderboard
Study groups have their own leaderboard ranking group members by points. The group leaderboard uses the same timeframe filters (Weekly, Monthly, All Time) and pagination as other leaderboards.

How Points Work
Points are earned from two sources: study sessions and streak bonuses.
Study Sessions
Every test you complete during a study session earns points based on the test type:
| Test Type | Points |
|---|---|
| Multiple choice | 30 |
| Listening | 50 |
| Typing | 70 |
Harder test types earn more points, so mixing in typing and listening tests is the fastest way to climb the leaderboard. For full details, see Studying > Points and Streaks.
Streak Bonuses
Maintaining a daily study streak earns bonus points that apply to every session you complete while your streak is at or above each milestone. The bonuses scale from +25 points at a 7-day streak up to +1,000 at 365 days. For the full milestone table and how the bonus steps up between tiers, see Studying > Streaks.
Tips and Troubleshooting
Points not showing up on the leaderboard? Points are awarded when a session is completed. If you abandon a session early, no points are earned. Make sure your sessions are completing fully.
Rank seems wrong? Tied users receive the same rank with no gaps. If three users are tied for 2nd place, the next rank after them is 3rd (not 5th). This is dense ranking: unlike traditional sports where ties leave gaps, every rank appears in sequence regardless of how many users share a spot.
Friend leaderboard is empty? The friends scope only includes users you follow. Follow other users from their Profile page to add them to your friends leaderboard.
"Your Rank" section not appearing? The rank section only shows when you've earned at least one point in the current timeframe. If you switch to Weekly and haven't studied this week, you won't see a rank entry. Complete a session or switch to a longer timeframe.
Weekly / Monthly boundaries don't match the calendar? The timeframe filters count points over rolling 7-day and 30-day windows, not from the start of the calendar week or month. "Weekly" means the last 7 days from right now, so the boundary shifts each day.
